Running is mostly repetition. Our job is to make the repetition feel lighter.

We started with one pair of shorts that we kept re-cutting until nothing rubbed, nothing rode up, and nothing had to be thought about again. That is still the brief for everything we release: remove what gets in the way, keep what earns its place.

Small runs,
slow revisions

Every style begins as a single sample sewn with a mill we have worked with for six years. It goes out on the road before it goes into production, and it usually comes back with notes. Nothing ships until the fourth sample feels like nothing at all.

Tested on the road

Our wear-test group is forty runners across five cities — pacers, commuters, first-marathoners, one postman. They run in the samples for eight weeks in real weather, and their notes decide the seams, the pockets and the length.

The next mile
is the only one
that matters

We'd love to be part of it.
